About Florence

After residing in NYC for 30 years, Florence Poulain moved to  Kingston, NY in 2015 with her partner Kristopher Johnson, Photographer.   Florence has an M.A. in Film Studies with a minor in Music Studies; she worked in Broadcast and Film Production and then she decided to dance for life. Ms. Poulain worked at the HealthAlliance Hospital of Kingston NY in Mental Health and Detox Rehab In-patient services.  Florence is a Butoh dancer and an interdisciplinary arts explorer; she is a Registered Somatic Movement Educator, who is embracing the experiential movement inquiry to support everyday and creative experiences.
